Train like a Premier League club
In this 15 x 15 area the boys are given a number 1-6.
The boys must pass consecutively to the player of each
corresponding number e.g. 1-2, 3-4, 5-6.
We will include various instructions:
Turn before you pass, pass with the weaker foot etc.
The inclusion of changing instructions develops young
players' communication skills. It improves their reactions to
change and develops the variety of moves they use. Young players
tend to use a narrower selection of moves that they are comfortable
with if left to their own devices.
The practice also develops their social skills - young players
need to learn to share the ball more, as they are naturally selfish
on the ball.
